Thank you for this long anticipated new episode! I enjoyed watching it, same as with your previous work.
Just the one question: is it the porn that tore your family apart or the rather smallmindedness of your parents?

Im totally fascinated by your work. I wanna say "watch out" and "go on" at the same time. I live in France, and my only work right now is to promote you and broadcast this fascination to the largest number of people (gay or not). Thanks.

This is an awesome intro! For people that haven't watched the shorts, this is a perfect hook to keep them watching. I would say one of the best shorts so far, a few were messy (if thats the word). But it seems you're going back and revamping your shorts, which is good.

Such a profound beginning to a compelling story... described in such a brief moment... I was particularly impressed with the tornado footage in the last few seconds... was that your original footage?

I have always been a fan of your brothers since I saw him in Chicago Cumhole, and learning about his history through your amazing videos makes me even more a fan and interested in the feature length film your working on.

I've seen all of your shorts and watching this made me want to go back and see them all over again. I have a feeling that means that if I saw only this, it would make me want to stick around to learn the whole story. The first line of a story is supposed to make you want to go on and this is one hell of a first line.

Hello,
Your'e lazy? Perhaps. But nice to know you back.
To here about your brother makes me - again - sad. All the best for you both.
Would be nice to know more about this. This part was a bit short.
Take care of you and your brother - and don't forget to cultivate the filmaker in you.

I grew up in a small town in Eastern Colorado. The images of the prairies, the lone farm houses in those huge fields, and those storms. They used to terrify me, but I couldn't look away. Thanks for your work.

I had thought you'd abandoned the project altogether, I'm glad to see you haven't. I'm at the edge of my seat wanting to see the finished product, please let me know how to get a copy of the 70 min DVD

great work sully. the storms scenes are mesmerizing; i live in OK, same deal -- not much goin on but the weather. the last scene, with the house -- i started thinking 'is this the house he grew up in?' then it gets obliterated by the tornado, and becomes the perfect metaphor reflecting your life. brilliant. keep it up, man. and thanks.

This is an outstanding video, Ryan. The music gives a retro-kitsch mood to the movie, but the whole matter is intense... there's such a rift between sound, narrative and image... but you make it fit together... storms/family/TIM, paving the way for your own life. You are brilliant, you know. :-)

Thoughtful and compelling. Ryan, I hope you'll let this work forge a new path for you, and that you find your own rules and values for life -- ones that are truly your own and matured through experience, maybe a little pain, and hopefully, some fun!

Hmm. Ur stuff is getting so much better.

"The man whose porn broke my family apart?" Ha. Any parents that throw out their kid like trash because he's gay ... is no family.

Wow. I stumbled across this by accident, but I was extremely moved by the video above. Coming from tornado alley in Arkansas and being gay, I can relate to what your brother and family went through. I'm intrigued to know more about you and your brother. I hope he is well; We haven't learned that yet. You are truly a gift. Thank you.
